A series of print ads for GABA, a Jones Soda beverage that helps you stay focused. GABA contains gamma-aminobutyric acid which produces calming alpha brain waves and decreases beta brain waves. The bennies? Instead of crashing or caffeine jitters with an energy drink, you’re calm and collected.

e provided the campaign tagline “Distractions Suck.” The ads spoke to active youth in their 20s and students. Imagery of athletes in total fail mode provide a playful but pungent tone: stay focused or faceplant! There’s a snowboarder bailing in powder head-first, twisted carnage of a bmx freestyler, and a Superman stage dive right into the dirt.
